Domesticated Monsters

After time in a domestic setting with regular meals and a protection from predators, the monsters will grow more than expected. Some become enormous creatures as they grow, demanding more and more resources. To make matters worst they are so large and difficult to contain they often escape.

Even the smallest things living in the Dreamland AI make horrible pets. In the wild there is a balance of finding enough food and hiding from predators. The hard nature of the wild means the little one’s life expectancy is short. The majority do not reach the size of these. These are not the little monsters with happy faces. They will never be your little buddies as they have grown some nasty dispositions. Look out if they start staring you or if you hear them make low throaty growling sounds as they could be getting hungry. Hopefully your pets never see you as some of these huge beasts do.

As with the inhabitants of the Dreamland AI, all the Monsters will find a way to survive and the larger creatures generally find their niche as meat eaters. As tiny beasts they had many strategies to stay alive, hiding and eating the small sentient plant life. As great large beasts they found that they don’t have to hide, they can fight with sharp claws and teeth to get their way. You should always leave wild animals where you find them.
